2018 Resolutions

metallic dress and velvet outfit details

This year, I decided to make a conscious effort to come up with some 2018 Resolutions! Eric and I have had so many milestones in the past few years; we got engaged, planned a wedding, bought a house, got married, completely gutted and renovated our home…It has been a busy few years! Now that so many of our dreams have come true, this year is about getting back to the basics. Today, I am sharing some of my personal goals and resolutions for 2018 along with my NYE look from this year!

Personal

First and foremost, I made the same resolution as probably most of you did…to be more healthy. This resolution is not totally out of left field because I have always done some sort of exercise and I eat relatively healthy during the week. For 2018, I decided that I want to make a more concerted effort in the New Year.

My 2018 fitness regime is to spin every other day for 20-30 minutes and to do a 10-minute ab and a 10-minute leg/bun workout daily. I wanted to make a goal that I could reasonably attain, so while this may not seem like a lot, it is something I know I can acheive!

My 2018 healthy eating regime is very similar to what I have always done except that I am cutting out the sugary snacks. I generally have oatmeal or greek yogurt for breakfast (which I eat when I get to my desk at work) a salad for lunch and dinner via Hello Fresh, which Eric and I cook and eat 4-nights per week. We are also attempting to do a dry January just to cleanse and recharge ourselves for 2018…we will see how long we last!

Another personal goal that I would like to attain is to leisure travel more often. I travel a lot for work in my “day job” as a lawyer, so sometimes it seems like a very daunting task to plan a leisure trip. My goal is to go somewhere with friends and/or family at least 6 times this year. We have a few things planned already (stay tuned for details on those trips), but I want to get a few more fun things planned! Specifically, I really want to do something special for our 5th Wedding Anniversary this year (last year I was on a work trip for our anniversary…horrible wife alert)!

Professional

In terms of professional goals, there are just so many. I have achieved so many of my goals as a lawyer and as a blogger! My blog was started to feed my other passion in life, which is fashion! Never could I have imagined that my blog would grow this big. Now that it has, I can’t wait to continue to grow! I have had the opportunity to work with so many amazing companies and brands, attend so many great events and meet so many wonderful people! I had the opportunity to attend NYFW not once, not twice, but three times and counting (see also here, here & here)! My goals for 2018 are to steadily increase my reach to you guys as well as to continue to work with great brands!
