We have been to a lot of weddings over the past few years. All of them have been amazing, but this one was a bit different. When the invitation came, we were surprised to see that the attire was “Black Tie Only”. Luckily, Eric has a tuxedo and he loves wearing it, so he was set, but I was stumped on my outfit.
I have some gowns that I purchased years ago, but none seemed appropriate for a black tie wedding in December. I have always loved using Rent the Runway and this was another perfect opportunity to rent something amazing that I couldn’t otherwise afford.
There were tons of gorgeous gowns to choose from – many of which I saved to my favorites for future events! I loved the elegance of this black gown and the fact that the slit and the one shoulder gave it a twist. I paired it with gorgeous earrings, silver stilettos (these were my wedding shoes) and my new LV clutch (an early Christmas present from my parents)!! I also threw this old faux fur jacket over my shoulders to keep warm when we walked from the ceremony to the reception.
Check out the details of this outfit below!
Details:
Gown (Rent the Runway) | Clutch (Louis Vuitton, similar, look for less) | Heels (Jimmy Choo, similar, look for less) | Jacket (H&M, similar) | Earrings (similar) | Bracelets (David Yurman) | Ring (similar, similar)
For the dress, I am wearing a 0R. I probably should have ordered a Long, but it was sold out and I was afraid that it would be too long, so I chose the Regular. Check out my dress review here.
Thank you for stopping by! Happy Shopping!
