Makeup Tutorial – Part 2

How many time have you struggled while trying to get the perfect cat eye. I’ve poked myself in the eye, drawn messy lines and had to start from scratch countless times. I finally discovered the best way to get a flawless cat eye with minimal mistakes!

All you will need is some scotch tape and less than 5 minutes!

Place the tape on your eye with one end just below your lower lid and the other end hitting the tip of your eyebrow.

Next, apply your eye shadow. I am using various colors (Foxy, Booty Call & Snakebite) in the Naked 2 palette to highlight and shadow my eye.

The tape will create a delineation between your eyelid and the rest of your face, keeping the shadow where it is supposed to be…on your eyelid!

Next, I am using the Laura Mercier Eye Liner in Black Ebony with the Eye Liner Brush #25. Simply wet the brush and drag it along the liner to saturate the brush.

Then, using the tape as a guide, line your eye. Your cat eye can be as dramatic or as simple as you want!

When you peel off the tape, sometimes it is necessary to smudge the edges of your shadow (but not liner) and add a little bronzer to blend everything in.
