Over July 4th, Eric and I trekked up to Lake Ontario to enjoy some family time! Our families are extremely close, which is always so amazing, so there was no question that we would be spending Independence Day with family! Eric’s family lives in upstate NY, so we left the hustle and bustle of NYC and headed for the North Country!
We rented a huge cabin on the lake with the most beautiful view of the lakeside beaches. It was so crazy to look out at the water and realize that we were on a lake rather than an ocean…I mean look at that water!
We BBQ’d, roasted marshmellows, watched firework shows every night, explored the town of Sackets Harbor and even deep fried a turkey! We had such a wonderful time!
