Eric and I travelled up to his hometown recently for a family wedding. He is originally from upstate NY, and we try to visit a few times per year. It’s nice because we are able to see his whole family all in one trip! I decided to use Rent the Runway so I could wear this sophisticated emerald dress for the occassion.
My sister-in-law gave me the heads up that the venue, and old theater, would potentially be on the cold side, so I loved the fact that this dress had long sleeves and was midi-length. Despite this being a family wedding, I went with a dress with a plunging neckline and a side cutout. I didn’t think that anything was too revealing and I got a lot of compliments on the dress. I would suggest wearing a U-bra to ensure that everything fits correctly. I have linked one below that is under $40. I bought one years ago and I have gotten great use out it, so I would definitely recommend taking a look!
Since it is still pretty cold here in the Northeast, I wore this fun cropped jacket and closed-toe pumps with this dress. Overall, I really loved this look! PS. I apologize for the quality of the iPhone photos, but it was all we had during the wedding!
