Holiday Home Decor

King of Christmas

Since moving into our house over 5 years ago, I have been lusting over the beautiful flocked Christmas trees that are all over social media and holiday commercials. This year, I finally went for it and got an amazing 10-foot flocked Christmas Tree from King of Christmas. Aside from wanted to upgrade our Holiday Home Decor to include a flocked tree, after we renovated we need to buy a bigger tree anyway. Our new family room has soaring 15 foot ceilings and our little 6ft tree wasn’t really cutting it anymore.

This tree arrived in a sturdy box and came with four sections of tree, a stand and 2 storage bags. When Eric and I were bringing the tree sections into the house, we were pleasantly surprised that the flocking didn’t shed too much, making our cleanup minimal. A fair amount of fluffing tree branches was necessary to get the tree to look how we wanted it to look, however I think that is pretty standard for any faux tree. We did not get the pre-lit tree, but didn’t have too much trouble stringing lights. It took about 4 boxes of lights to cover the tree sufficiently.

We took a minimalist approach to decorating the tree this year. Because I am not going to buy new Christmas decorations every year, I re-used a lot of what I have accumulated over the past 5 years. I decided to go with a gold and red motif, which I love and which looks amazing against the tree flocking.
