There are so many fashion rules that we used to abide by…no white before Memorial Day, no white after Labor Day, put away your shorts when school starts. The list goes on. So many of those adages are now obsolete. Today, we have Winter White, Long sleeve dresses and shorts paired with booties. Today, I am sharing how to wear shorts for Fall! As we move into Fall, I always find that I wish the weather would actually start to get cooler so that I can start wearing all of my fun fall wardrobe items. A lot of times, the weather won’t cooperate. Instead, we are stuck wearing summer items that we are just OVER! A great way to meld together the seasons and the fashion is to mix and match seasonal items. Here, I have paired a cozy boyfriend sweater and suede booties with cropped jeans shorts. I am totally in love with this look because it is unexpected, trendy and perfect for those in-between days!
This method works great for skirts and dresses as well! Throw on a pair of booties instead of wedges or sandals and suddenly you have a great early Fall look! I kept this look very casual with a simple tan handbag that has a removable shoulder strap. It can either be a tote bag, like I have here, or a crossbody bag. I love when items are versatile, so having a removable strap is great! I also wore these fun rose colored aviators. They are similar to the style I almost always wear, but the rose lenses give a fun and unexpected twist! I would also say that this look is great for Spring as well, when the temperatures aren’t quite allowing sandals, but they are still warm enough that you are looking to throw a nod to the warm weather!
