It’s that time of year again! Each year, for a few weeks each summer, Nordstrom makes every girls’ dreams come true by offering brand new arrivals (for both summer and fall) at amazing sale prices for a limited time. This legendary event is what shoppers know today as the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I have been shopping this sale for about 4 years now and I am always amazed at the great deals that I have found! Last year, I shopped both online and in-store, so I really feel like I experienced the full hype! I am excited to share my thoughts, tips and tricks with you to make the most of the Sale!
Sale Preview Online: 7/24-8/18
You can preview all of Nordstrom’s Fall merchandise starting on July 24! This is a great time to scope out staples like Fall jackets, booties and sweaters. Take this time to look through and clear out your closet so that you know exactly what you are looking to buy at a mega discount! The more organized and prepared you are for the sale, the better shot you have at snagging items that you need before they return to their regular prices! Although all Nordstrom store locations have re-opened since COVID, I would still suggest doing your shopping online this year. I think this will be better than shopping in-store because you will have the added benefit of online stock, quick and easy check-out and you won’t have to worry about social distancing!
Early Access: 8/4-8/18
During Early Access, Nordstrom cardholders get to shop the Anniversary Sale, in increments, before it opens to the public. If you want to shop Early Access this year, consider applying for a Nordstrom Credit Card here to make sure you score the best deals before Public Access.

August 10-18 Influencer Early Access
August 13-18 Insider Early Access
Early access is determined by your Nordstrom Membership status. The more you spend as a cardholder, the higher your status and the more perks you get, including early access to this sale!
Public Sale 8/19-8/30
For non-card holders, the Anniversary Sale opens to the public on Wednesday, August 19 and wraps on Sunday, August 30. Nordstrom historically restocks items that have sold out during the Early Access window, so be sure to keep an eye out!
Strategy
Large sales like this one can sometimes be overwhelming. Trust me, I feel your pain! I am going to be doing my best to round up items that are in stock to help you have the best shopping experience that you can have, but in the meantime, start making a list of the items that you want to buy. Whether it be summer items that you are waiting to go on sale or planning ahead to add fall staples to your wardrobe…think booties, denim, sweaters, etc. Having a list is great way to keep your focus when you have fashion hitting you from all directions.
