With Fall upon us, we have been trading in iced coffee and floral prints for pumpkin spiced lattes and rich jewel tones. Today, I am sharing my favorite print for Fall, houndstooth! Identified by its bold pattern, houndstooth is a classic and sophisticated print that is making a huge comeback this season. Here, I am wearing a black and brown houndstooth boyfriend blazer over a ribbed white bodysuit tank. By pairing this bold pattern and thick jacket over a delicate tank, I’ve managed to dress down and modernize an age-old pattern. For this look, I paired this blazer with ripped black jeans, but I have also worn it to the office with black slacks. Either way, this jacket is a complete showstopper and is under $50! Finding a blazer of this quality AND at this price that can go from 9-5 and 5-9 is a miracle, so if you are loving this pattern trend as much as I am, don’t waste a second!

Whenever I wear a low cut top, I love to include some sort of statement necklace. Here, I wore this gorgeous designer piece, but I’ve also worn layered gold necklaces, which give a similar effect. For a little added drama, I mixed in a snake skin pattern on my booties. The pattern is subtle enough that I didn’t feel like it competed with the blazer, but added in a fun little pop rather than going with a solid colored shoe. Aside from that, I kept my other accessories pretty neutral, opting for a black skinny belt and a brown crossbody bag. How do you feel about the houndstooth print trend?
