If you’ve been following me for a little while, you know that I went to New York Fashion Week (NYFW) for the first time back in September (see this post and this post). Despite being born and raised less than an hour from the city, I had never participated in fashion week before. Well, look at me now…my second fashion week and now I feel like a veteran! Before I attended in September with my Style Collective sisters, I didn’t even know that the average girl or blogger could attend, but you don’t have to be a celebrity to party like one!
This time around, I was much more prepared and with the help of my Style Collective sisters, I was able to secure invites to some fab parties, presentations and fashion shows! It was during the ShopStyle Social House event that I was able to get some shots of this outfite while overlooking the Hudson!
Just because you are going to fashion week, it doesn’t mean you have to break the bank! The majority of this outfit was under $50 and I felt like the belle of the ball! I even got a fun fashion sketch to memorialize my duds!
As a side note, I want to thank each and every one of you for your unwavering support of Suburban Renovation. When I first started blogging, Eric and I were newlyweds and we had just moved into our first home. I was trying to decorate and fix up our house on a budget, hence the name Suburban Renovation. Since then, I have had the opportunity to grow my blog and brand into more than I could have ever dreamed! I have met the most wonderful people, attended some of the most amazing events and worked with some of my favorite brands! Since my blog has evolved and expanded into more of a fashion, life and style blog rather than just a Home Decor and DIY blog, I am excited to announce that Suburban Renovation will be going through a…well…renovation of sorts. Coming in the next month or so, Suburban Renovation will become The Glamorous Gal! I hope you will stick with me during the transition and welcome me back as The Glamorous Gal!

March 1, 2017 at 7:37 pmOmg you look amazing! I love your style! I’m hoping to attend NYFW in the fall. Gotta upgrade my wardrobe though. I recycle all of my outfits for years but after awhile, I’m like “ok I really want new clothes that weren’t bought on clearance” lol
