I can’t believe that our dream house renovation is coming to a close within the next month or so. The addition is fully functioning, the floors are in, cabinets are installed, appliances have arrived and …swoon… our marble countertops were installed yesterday!
We opted for medium wood floors to contrast the whites and grays we will have running throughout the house, both in fixtures and home decor. We went with white, inset, shaker style cabinets in the kitchen along with honed calacatta marble countertops. We knew we wanted to go with high end appliances and fixtures, so we went with Thermador and got the benefit of this deal! Still yet to be installed is the custom vent hood and of course, our calacatta backsplash.
In the laundry room (not pictured) we did white, shaker style cabinets with white quartz countertops and the bar cabinets (also not pictured) are sporting a neutral gray with white quartz countertops as well.
I didn’t want to bombard my blog with too many renovation updates. Let’s be honest, some people (like me) sit around watching HGTV all day, but most of us don’t really care how long it took for a foundation to be poured or about “crane day”. If you are an HGTV fanatic, you can see our renovation from the start by checking out the Renovation Diary section of my blog!
Recall that this space was all newly added square footage.
When you don’t know where to put all of your brand new cabinets!
There is still a ton more to come in the kitchen and the rest of the house, so please stop by again soon!
