Hey Everyone!! So I don’t know about you, but when Eric and I get home from work, we usually toss our keys somewhere in the kitchen. This became inconvenient when we couldn’t find our keys in the morning or our keys ended up in the middle of our dinner prep. To fix this problem, I decided to make this great key holder, that I hung in our mud room.
I got this white 8’x10′ picture frame on sale at Home Goods for about $6 and I got these gold screw hooks from JoAnn’s for less than $1.
Because this frame was on sale, it was in need of a little TLC. I added a quick coat of white semi-gloss spray paint to make sure the frame looked fresh and clean.
The next step was to spray paint the gold screw hooks. I used my trusty Rustoleum chrome metallic finish spray paint to update these gold screw hooks.
Once the spray paint dried, I measured four equal distances for the screw hooks and then just screwed these guys in. These are super easy to use and I was done installing all four in less than 2 minutes.
I wasn’t originally planning on keeping the back of the picture frame at all. I was going to remove it so that you could see the wall behind the picture frame. Instead, I used some leftover fabric from my DIY Throw Pillow project and glued it to the back of the picture frame.
I also used hot glue to secure the fabric to the back of the picture frame.
Voila! A picture frame key hook!
I put this up in our mud room using my trusty Monkey Hooks and immediately hung up my keys!
I hope you enjoyed this project! Please come back again soon!!
