Hey Everyone! I’ve been painting more and more lately and I’m really loving all of the warmth and personality it is bringing to our home. I have done some geometric painting in the past (check them out here and here), but this was my first attempt at a free-hand abstract painting.
This tutorial is super easy and really quick!
The first step was to pick out some colors. I chose some colors that I thought looked good together and went with the decor in my home.
I used white card stock as my canvas, which you can get at any JoAnn’s, Michael’s or other craft store. From there, I just started painting vertical lines.
I layered the different colors that I chose on top of each other until I was happy with the final product.
That’s all there is to it! Just use your own creativity and go for it! There is no right or wrong way to paint abstract art for your own home! I put this painting into a frame and put it in our front hallway.
We had a great empty space in our front hallway at the foot of the stairs.
Using these great Monkey Hooks, Eric helped me hang the painting.
That’s it!!
I hope that you enjoyed this post! Thank you for stopping by my blog. Please come back again soon!
